Questions About the Review Process
Does a baseline record mean an animal can be imported?
No. A species-level baseline is one input. Buyer qualification, destination requirements, the proposed route and shipment-specific records are reviewed separately.
When is buyer qualification reviewed?
Buyer information belongs to a separate trade-account review. This public development page does not verify buyers or collect credentials and documents.
Why is scientific-name matching required?
The accepted scientific name connects the animal record to the regulatory baseline. Relevant synonyms are checked; a common name or morph does not replace regulatory identity.
When are shipment documents reviewed?
Documents are reviewed for the proposed transaction, route and current requirements. A sample or public baseline is not a shipment document decision.
Can destination requirements change?
The baseline requires current destination rules, CITES context, buyer qualification and shipment conditions to be rechecked before shipment.
Where can I view representative availability?
Use Current Availability to compare the development records. They are representative interface data, not live inventory or commercial offers.
